Firefighter Larry LaFaver is set to retire @ midnight going into the new year. He began his career at the Temple Fire Company in 1972 after moving to Temple in 1970 with his wife Debbie. He was a very dedicated member and very reliable member to count on to respond to calls throughout his entire career. He spent several years as an Engineer and one year as a Lieutenant. He was one of our main drivers during many of his years but was still willing to wear an air pack even at the age of 71 and get dirty. Some of his other notable accomplishments include being on the Temple Borough Council for several years, being an elected Muhlenberg Twp State Constable and we can’t forget his service to our country as he served with the United States Navy. His demeanor around the firehouse will be greatly missed. The door will always be open for this man to stop by and always welcome to ride with to some calls.
