Our former 1986 Hahn Heavy Rescue was originally sold to the Hudson FD in Colorado, then sold to the Austin FD in North Carolina. Its condition once in Austin was far from perfect. With a very tight budget and building a new station, they pulled together many different skill assets within their department and community and did a total refurb for approx $4500. Throughout the entire project, Captain Brian Cothren had been in contact with Asst. Chief Andy LaFaver providing constant updates through their process. The end result is our beast is alive again because of the work of amazing men and women. We hope you get much use from it and of course love it the way we did while it was ours. Our hats are off to your members of Austin. We are very proud of you all!!
I attached a video link they made from start to finish. It is a long video but please take the time to watch and appreciate the work that was done to this rig. If it don’t work, go to youtube. Type 3414 Restoration Video.
